A cool articulated charm formed as Mr Punch from the traditional puppet show, Punch and Judy. It's crafted in 9k gold throughout, and moves up and down as if he is climbing, just like a puppet! He has his traditional pointy jester like hat on with well known large hooked nose and exaggerated features. Dates from the Victorian period, circa 1880.
Punch and Judy is a traditional puppet show featuring Mr. Punch and his wife Judy. Quite a controversial British figure with his origins in the charismatic 16th century Italian puppet Pulcinella. Mr Punch has been performing in the UK for over 350 years.
